looking for the quiet life
Gentle introvert seeks chillaxed adult only home. Sweet six year old Chloe loves the simple things. She thrives with routine and does not have high energy needs so is happiest with a few walks in quiet areas or even a car ride or two. Chloe loves the car, it is her happy place, she jumps in and out and travels well.
On her walks, Chloe will always choose the path less travelled, she does have some noise sensitivity so would thrive in a quiet suburb or country home away from busy roads and hectic traffic. She opts not to engage with passing dogs as she can be quite shy with bouncy and boisterous face to face introductions; she does however enjoy saying hello to her human neighbours on her walks.
A lover, but not a velcro dog, Chloe will show great affection to her special humans but maintains her independence. She is happy to relax in a cosy corner while you go about your business, there’s no need to follow you about the house monitoring your actions, she will happily wait until you have time to sit down and read or watch some telly together.
Chloe would be fine home alone full time working hours if there is a suitable dog for companionship in the home. She is currently in foster with a young male greyhound and while they do get on well, they don’t need to keep each other entertained. Chloe is just as happy to do some zoomies in the yard with her humans, or play with her toys by herself. She could be a spoiled only child if not left alone for more than a few hours at a time.
Arriving to Gumtree Greys in very poor condition, you wouldn’t recognise the 18kg bundle of nervous energy that Chloe used to be. She is now very healthy with a lush black coat and beautiful smattering of greys that give her a distinguished face, wise beyond her years. She enjoys her visits to the farmers markets, and has grown so much in confidence and happiness (although she has reached her goal weight, she remains a petite 22kgs).
Chloe has had some health challenges during her time in care, these are now under control and can be easily managed in her new home. She lives with SLO ( Symmetrical Lupoid Onychodystrophy ). This is an auto-immune condition that mainly affects the nails, causing them to become fragile and in some cases break off, Chloe’s treatment currently includes maintaining a good diet with fish oil and other supplements.
Chloe is a cat-like companion seeking a quiet home in which she can share gentle affection and good times.
Cannot live with small animals (cats, toy dog breeds, pocket pets, chickens)
Cannot be left alone full time working hours unless there is another dog, and access to toilet
